Life Skills Seminar: Living with HIV in Norway

Are you living with HIV, have a migrant background, and live in Norway? If so, you are welcome to take part in a life skills seminar to be held at Gardermoen from 9th to 11th October 2026. The seminar will be held in English.

We want to create a safe space where we can learn from one another and talk about experiences that can be difficult to share in our everyday lives.

Possible topics for discussion: social challenges, intimacy, love, working life, navigating different stages of life, rejection, loneliness, discrimination, stigma, health, anxiety, and self-esteem.

Everyone with a migrant background living with HIV in Norway is invited, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation and background. Travel expenses will be covered.

The session will be led by Rolf Aspestrand, who will contribute his experience, and knowledge. Rolf is a psychotherapist/counsellor, MNGF, holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Science and has 18 years’ experience at Sentrum samtaleterapi & veiledning. Rolf is married to Øystein and has two children. He previously lived with Dennis, who died of AIDS in 1996.
